Olympic Wineries is operated by Kitsap Marketing (“Kitsap Marketing,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit and use our website, browse our directory, contact us, submit updates or corrections, or otherwise interact with us.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly. We may collect personal information you choose to provide to us, such as your name, email address, phone number, company or business name, the contents of your message, listing updates or correction requests, partnership inquiries, complaint reports, and any other information you choose to send. The public contact page currently asks for a name, email address, and comments, and listing pages include a “Report Abuse” submission flow.
Business listing information. We maintain public directory listings that may include business names, addresses, phone numbers, business email addresses, websites, social media links, descriptions, categories, tags, photos, hours, and similar business-related information. This information may come from the business itself, an authorized representative, publicly available sources, or our own research and verification efforts. Listing pages state that sources may include a business’s official website and other reputable regional listings.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, clicks, search activity, filter activity, and access times. We may use cookies, server logs, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, help secure forms, prevent abuse, and understand how the Site is used.
2. Sources of Information
We may collect information directly from you; from businesses and their authorized representatives; from publicly available sources; from service providers that support hosting, forms, email, spam prevention, analytics, mapping, or similar services; and automatically from your browser or device when you use the Site.
3. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- operate, maintain, and improve the Site and directory;
- respond to inquiries, feedback, and partnership requests;
- create, verify, update, correct, and manage business listings;
- publish business-related information intended for public directory display;
- investigate complaints, abuse reports, or misuse of the Site;
- personalize or improve search, filtering, and user experience features;
- send administrative messages and, where permitted, marketing communications you requested or agreed to receive;
- protect the security, integrity, and proper operation of the Site; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.
4. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information:
- to service providers that help us host and operate the Site, process forms, deliver email, detect spam or abuse, provide analytics, or support mapping and similar functionality;
- when the information is business listing information intended for public display in the directory;
- when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, users, or the Site; and
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business or assets.
We do not intentionally publish the contents of private contact-form messages as part of the public directory. If you submit information for a public business listing, or request that we update a listing, the information relevant to that public listing may appear on the Site.
We may allow certain analytics or advertising partners to collect information through the Site as described in our cookie, banner, or notice-at-collection disclosures. Where required by law, we provide applicable notices and choices.
5. Public Listings and Business Information
Because the Site is a public business directory, certain business-related information is intentionally available to the public, including business names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, email addresses, social profiles, descriptions, and other listing details. If you are a business owner or authorized representative and want to correct, update, or request removal of listing information, contact us using our contact page or the contact details below.
6. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services, including business websites, social media platforms, and Google directions or mapping tools. If you click those links or use those services, the third party’s privacy policy and terms apply, not ours. We are not responsible for third-party privacy or security practices. Listing pages currently link to external business sites, social profiles, and Google directions.
7. Cookies, Analytics, and Do Not Track
We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site functioning, remember preferences, measure performance, and help secure the Site.
8. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to maintain active listings, respond to inquiries, document corrections and complaints, secure the Site, and comply with legal, accounting, or recordkeeping requirements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the reason we collected it.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without the required permission, we will delete it as required by law. COPPA applies to sites directed to children under 13 and to general-audience sites that have actual knowledge they are collecting personal information from a child under 13.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion or erasure of certain information, a copy of certain information, or to object to or limit certain processing. California law and the GDPR recognize rights of this kind, although the exact scope, exceptions, and response obligations depend on whether those laws apply and on the context of the request.

By using the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own.
