Marymere Falls

Overview
Marymere Falls is a 90-foot (≈27 m) waterfall reached by a short, well-maintained trail through old-growth forest on the shores of Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park. The Marymere Falls Nature Trail is one of the most popular day hikes in the Lake Crescent area and is well suited to families and casual hikers.

Trail & access

The trail to the falls is about 0.9 miles (1.4 km) one-way from the Storm King Ranger Station (roughly 1.8 miles round-trip via the fall loop) and can also be accessed from Lake Crescent Lodge. A paved parking area, restrooms, and a boat launch are located near the Storm King Ranger Station; follow the signed parking area off US‑101 at Lake Crescent.

Amenities & accessibility

There are restrooms at the trailhead and a paved parking area. About one mile of the approach is accessible; there are stairs at the viewpoints above the falls. Expect a mix of boardwalk, packed dirt trail, short wooden bridges, and a final stair section to the viewpoints.

Practical tips

Bring a valid national park pass or pay the applicable entrance fee, wear sturdy shoes (trail can be slippery when wet), and plan for crowds in peak season; the short distance and easy access make Marymere Falls a popular stop.
